term 1 reflection / science

M Y  R E F L E C T I O N  F O R  T E R M  1   S C I E N C E

Term 1 of school started February the third and in science I started biology. I learned about biological ideas, reasoning and issues.

I started learning about microorganisms, fungi, viruses and bacteria. Their life processes and factors that affect the life processes. I also learned about respiration, I learned about aerobic and anaerobic respiration, the word equations for both and the differences between them. I learned about carbon cycles, compost, how to apply biological reasoning to issues. 

Things I learned about microorganisms  in term 1 was, binary fission, extra cellular digestion and respiration.

During term 1 I completed three biology assessments. For the first I researched and wrote a report on Covid-19.  The second I made a report on two microorganisms, on bacteria and one fungus. The last assessment was an investigation where I had to apply what I learned about respiration and life processes to find the biological reasoning  for why our heart rate increases the harder we exercise
